Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Sherpa Software, an e-discovery and information management software and services provider, announced the release of a new data analysis tool for litigation support, called Report Attender. The new tool is designed to search and report on an organization's data assets to give decision-makers the ability to make critical decisions when litigation is imminent.
Report Attender analyzes the content of data stores and assesses the "age, size and substance of email messages and other files," according to the company. The new software is installed on-site and automatically scans data stores, gathering key statistics and categorizing files and messages from network shares and email stores. The program can expand compressed files, identify duplicates, and gather attachment statistics. Once scans are complete, the software issues summary reports, charts, tables, and graphs that visually represent an organization's data map. Summary reports can be drilled into for more detailed information on sources and data.
Report Attender sports a user-friendly interface with an application wizard to create custom scans that can access secure file shares. Sherpa Software claims that Report Attender can scan any Windows accessible file share, as well as collect statistics on messages and attachments stored in Outlook .pst files, Exchange mailboxes, and online archives.
Report Attender is less than $1000 per installation for unlimited processing.
