dtSearch, a supplier of enterprise and developer text retrieval software, announced version 7.67 of its product line, which expands the company's file parsers.
Parsers enable dtSearch to perform instant hit-highlighting in searching data, be it static or dynamic online content, and are available to developers via application programming interfaces in 64-bit and 32-bit Windows and Linux (C++), Java, and .NET up to version 4.
In version 7.67, file parsers have direct access to Microsoft PST files without having to go through MAPI. In effect, dtSearch can directly search items in Outlook PST stores such as messages, contacts, appointments, as well as file attachments, and display the hit-highlights in retrieved items. The new release also provides hit-highlights when searching PDF files in Adobe Reader X via a new dtSearch plug-in.
